Disturbances.....

Today is 2/20/2020. It has been raining on and off all week here in South Carolina.  I think we had one or two really beautiful days, and one day of snow, in the past 2 weeks.

This photo was taken today, around 4:30pm.  Can you see the snow? It is about 34*.

Did I mention that it is February? That I live in South Carolina? That we should be experiencing SPRING like weather daily? Daytime highs of 50*-60*??? Where did they go?

Mother Nature has no clue what season she should be in right now and it shows!! She must be going through something...

What if we are living in Winter but we feel like Summer? What happens to us then?

Do we become cranky? Irrational? Throw tantrums?  Have no clue as to what is going on around us??

Sound familiar?

Mother Nature can't get her season's in order, how can we be in order?

Some thrive on the chaos of life, other's need order to thrive.

We all need to be centered, on the inside, to function like we know we are right with the world.

I think we are meant to go through these "disturbances", to shake us up a bit.

To be renewed with the knowledge of getting ready for the next season.

What do you need to....

Accept?
Change?
Let go of?
Reconnect with?
Do?

Once we figure that out, maybe we can embrace the next season of our lives.

Take these unexpected disturbances and deal with them head on.

Who knows what the outcome will be.

What I do know is,

When the season ends, the next season, will be better than the last.

How much color does your tree have????

I love this picture. I compare it to us as humans.

We are planted/born into this life that we have no other option but to grow into it.

We are filled with choices and the consequences of them throughout our life.

We need the soil, that we are planted in, to be fertilized and watered by our experiences.

We have to learn how to prune ourselves correctly in order to grow tall and strong or we will wither and die.

The pruning stage is so hard. We have to make mistakes sometimes in order to learn from them.

That's where the colors come into play. We aren't fated to be made of one single color but of many.

All of our experiences lead up to our maturity, not seen in a number but rather, as a strong, sturdy, mature person/tree.

So, my question to you is this;

How much color does your tree have?

I Do Not Dance.......

You know the ones who will do whatever it takes to get what they want regardless of the collateral damage.

It is just who they are or is it the result of life?

Think about how you felt/feel when you can't reach your goals.

How you got passed up for that promotion....

Didn't get the girl/guy...…

When life, constantly, makes what you want, so incredibly hard to obtain...…

You have a choice to make, a real one.

Be real or put on a show.

I see you chose to put on a show.

What was your breaking point?

How far will you go?

How many disguises will you wear?

How many lies will you tell?

Do you even realize who you are?

How long did it take you to get comfortable with the little fucker that you have become?

My question to you is rather simple but please do not misunderstand the meaning within:

Why do you think that this is the best way to be?

Is life too, HARD,  for you?

I just don't see it that way.

Either put the work in or don't.

Life is REAL, not hard.

Stay REAL.

The benefits of being real in every moment of life?

You never have to dance for anyone.

You never have to put on a show.

Always who you are.

Life is always on your terms.

Always.

The choice has always been yours to make.

Make no mistake about it though,

Being real at all times, is always easier than your way.

I hope you get it some day.

Until then,

Dance, Fucker, Dance.

2018 is ending.........

I am sure there are a few of you that can agree to that statement.

I also realize that there is nothing we can do about it. What is done is done. No amount of wishing can change it.

So, why cry or pout about it? Let's leave the problems in the past but keep the lessons.

If I wronged you, It wasn't intentional. I was just wrapped up in my own stuff, I am sorry.

If you wronged me, lesson learned. I am over it.

If we don't talk any longer, I do wish you well. I have let it go.

I am certain 2019 will bring its fair share of problems, but I will not let it bring me down, I will let it shape me to be a better me.

Yeah, that last sentence was a bit much, even for me. Lol

I did learn. I am in a constant state of learning. We all are. So how about this instead?

We are human, we will continue to make mistakes, and we will learn from them. We may even be able to look back on the years problems and say, "I am different and realize what is worth keeping and what to let go of."

But 2019, I am tired of learning..........

Hey there Mr. Grinch........

The Holiday's do not always bring out the warm 'n fuzzy feelings of Peace, Love, and Hope for everyone.

No, they can bring out the, Stink, Stank, and Stunk, making us a Mr. Grinch during the Holiday's.

Holiday's are times filled with family, friends, happiness, etc....

So, what happens when we do not have that happy family life? Our friends have families of their own to spend time with during the holidays. What if, we have been so broken during the year, we can't find the joy of the holiday's? What if, we are so stressed out by life, that we have become Mr. Grinch?

We all know what happened to the Grinch. He faced a cold cruel life and allowed it shrink his love towards others. So much so, that he wanted everyone to be as miserable as he was feeling.

As soon as he was shown Kindness, his feelings of cruelty simply faded away.

A simple act of kindness can change a person's life in the most amazing ways.

The next time you come across a, Mr. Grinch, show kindness instead. Reach out and make time for those in ways that you do not normally do.

We all make time for what we want when we want, this is no different.

Think about it.

Holiday's are not just about us and who we know in our world, it is about others.

Or is it so important to you that you are right, first, and get that perfect gift,

that you have become,

Mr. Grinch?

That is enough....

You can't always save everyone.

The hardest thing is to realize that you cannot do anymore than you already have.

Sometimes, we are just the person they needed in their moment of need.

We have to accept that and move on.

We can only give what we have to give of ourselves. Once it starts to drain us, we must let go, know we did everything we could, and stop.

We don't stop caring, we just stop trying.

Life is filled with moments of meeting people who helped us become better than we were before knowing them.

We may not always be a part of them being better and that is OKAY.

It is always better to give all that we have to someone, than to look back and wish we had tried harder.

Be at peace with knowing,

that it was enough.

Do you even know??

Gossip. Back Stabbing. Lies. Rumors.

It happens. There is not a damn thing you can do about it.

You can't stop it. You can't change it.

Let the haters, hate.

You may not even know anything about it until, you hear something accidentally or a friend tells you about it.

But when a friend tells you about it, did they defend you or chime right in?

Do you even know?

Some people enjoy misery and misery loves company.

Our friends will speak of us in our absence, it is human nature.

What they say is what matters, not what the haters have to say.
